Fresh Oxygen Delivery
The EnGrow garden bed system has been specifically designed to create optimal ventilation and allow for natural passive airflow of fresh oxygen to move underneath the soil through the EcoChamberTM. To achieve optimal airflow, the EcoChamberTM Fan can be added to the system to boost the delivery of fresh oxygen to the base of the living soil. Oxygen levels determine overall living soil and plant health. Maintaining the ideal level of oxygenation in living soil is vital for optimum growing and long-term regenerative soil development.
Water Conservation
Our environmentally conscious garden bed’s primary function is to support healthy, regenerative living soil that naturally retains and conserves water. Its built-in drainage system captures excess water, which can be easily redirected via a standard garden hose to a reservoir or watering can for reuse. For best results, we recommend using a tensiometer to monitor soil moisture and maintain ideal growing conditions for the living soil’s ecosystem to flourish.
Humic Acid & Nutrient Extraction
Humic acid extraction can easily be accomplished through intentionally running excess fresh water slowly through the healthy living soil and collecting the runoff of the nutrient rich humic acid water as it exits the drain. The collected nutrient rich humic acid water could then be introduced into the living soil of another garden bed or recycled back into the bed from which it originated. Humic acids are considered “liquid gold” and “the nucleus of life” in regenerative agriculture. The well-known benefit of humic acids is how they increase the bioavailable nutrient uptake by a plant's roots.
Soil leaching
The EnGrow garden bed’s soil leaching design makes it easy to reduce the excess levels of unwanted nutrients, minerals, nitrates, and heavy metals by simply flushing fresh water through the living soil. The Soil Platform’s uniformly distributed holes allow for even water drainage and leaching capabilities. If a soil test concludes that you have undesired levels of nutrients, minerals, nitrates, or heavy metals present in your living soil, then reducing those levels may be necessary to maintain a healthy balance in your living soil.
Mobility & Height Versatility
The EnGrow garden bed is versatile in its numerous bed height options and mobile capabilities. The optional casters can be installed making it easy to maneuver in most gardening environments. The height can be adjusted to fit different desired levels for design purposes, plant height, and gardener abilities. The bed comes with three height options and more can be added, if desired.
